Five Sets of Mobile Conveyors for Port Loading in Indonesia

In 2024 an Indonesian port operator ordered five mobile conveyors from SANTO to mechanise sand and gravel loading: one tracked radial truck unloader RTU1215, three tracked mobile conveyors TS200 and one tracked radial stacker TS20R.

Project Background

The client handled sand and gravel with a mix of excavators and wheel loaders, which limited throughput and left material scattered across the quay. They needed a mobile system that could feed, convey and stack bulk material at a steady 500 t/h without fixed civil structures.

Because vessel berths and stockpile areas shift with the tide and the season, the operator wanted equipment that could be repositioned quickly. The tracked stacker family gave them exactly that mobility, and the radial truck unloader removed the need for double handling from trucks.

SANTO Configuration

SANTO proposed a five-machine train built around the RTU1215 radial truck unloader, which draws material directly from tipping trucks at up to 600 t/h. Three TS200 tracked conveyors (1000 mm belt, 20 m length) then transfer the product to the TS20R radial stacker for continuous stockpiling and barge loading.

After arrival, SANTO engineers completed commissioning on site. The customer praised the configuration plan, equipment quality and after-sales support, and the line has since run steadily through peak shipping windows.

Outcome and Operating Value

The combined system reaches a reliable 500 t/h and eliminated repeated wheel-loader shuttling between trucks and barges. Operators report lower fuel use and simpler stockpile management on the quay.
