How to Choose the Right Machine

Start with three numbers: required throughput in tonnes per hour, the distance or stacking radius the material must travel, and how often the machine needs to move. Those determine boom length, belt width, belt speed and the chassis you need.

Next, consider the material itself. Sticky, high-moisture products such as compost or wet clay need chevron belts and steep-incline geometry; abrasive ores call for heavy-duty idlers and wear-resistant liners; dusty powders such as fly ash and cement benefit from enclosed transfer points and dust suppression.

Finally, match the machine to the site. Confined quarry faces favour tracked units that slew on the spot, while paved port yards favour wheeled machines that can be towed between berths by a yard tractor.
