Tracked Stockpiler

A crawler-mounted conveyor that keeps screens and crushers running at full capacity across rough ground.

Tracked Stockpiler

Built for the harshest duty, the tracked stockpiler moves under its own crawler chassis to follow a crushing or screening train wherever it works. One or more units link different machines and carry material across country without a fixed trestle. It is the dependable stockpiling backbone behind a wide range of bulk operations.

Key Features and Engineering Highlights

Heavy-duty tracks

A tracked undercarriage suits any terrain and lets the machine cross rough, uneven ground that wheeled units cannot reach.

Half the fuel burn

Replacing a wheel loader with a continuous conveyor typically cuts fuel consumption in half while removing double handling.

Variable feed height

Hydraulic adjustment of the feed height reduces material impact and gives clean transfer from crusher or screener.

Hydraulic fold

The unit lowers and folds hydraulically for transport, making it ready to move quickly between sites.

Up to 1000 t/h

Stockpiling capacity reaches 1000 t/h with feed particle size up to 350 mm across belt lengths of 15-30 m.

Working principle and design

The tracked stockpiler receives material directly from a primary or secondary crusher, or from a screener, and conveys it to a discharge head that builds the stockpile. The tracked chassis means the machine advances, retreats and swings to place material exactly where needed.

Because it is fed continuously, the stockpiler lets the upstream plant run at maximum output instead of idling while a loader clears the area. Hydraulic feed-height adjustment softens the drop and protects the belt and structure.

Typical configurations and options

SANTO offers three belt families — 800, 1000 and 1200 mm — each in lengths of 15, 20, 24 and 30 m. Capacity steps through 300, 500, 700 and up to 1000 t/h, so the same chassis scales from a compact yard to a major quarry.

All variants fold hydraulically for transport and run on heavy crawler tracks. Belt speed, scraper and skirt options are tuned to the material so that sticky or abrasive loads still convey cleanly.

Where it excels

The stockpiler is a powerful bulk storage manager for aggregate, coal, compost, asphalt, biomass, fly ash, dry bulk, sand, copper ore, dirt, gypsum, quarried stone, cement and iron ore. It is the natural partner to a feeder track stacker when controlled feed is also needed.

In mining and quarrying it keeps crusher and screener productivity high; in energy and ports it forms large, well-shaped piles that load out cleanly later. For full-circle slewing coverage, the tracked radial stacker builds even larger fan-shaped piles from one position.

  • Quarry and mine crush/screen circuits
  • Coal and ore stockyards
  • Cement and aggregate terminals
  • Biomass, compost and recycling yards

Selection and operation tips

Size the belt to the plant’s sustained output, not its peak, and pick the longest belt your site footprint allows to maximise pile volume per move. Set the feed height to match the crusher discharge to limit impact wear.

For mobile plants that relocate often, the hydraulic fold and crawler travel mean one operator can reposition the stockpiler without a low-loader on short moves, saving both time and haulage cost.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the maximum stockpiling capacity?

The TS series reaches 1000 t/h with feed particle size up to 350 mm and belt lengths from 15 m to 30 m.

How does it save cost versus a wheel loader?

A continuous conveyor eliminates the loader’s cycle, cutting fuel burn roughly in half and removing double handling of material.

Can it follow a mobile crushing plant?

Yes. The crawler chassis lets it advance with the crush/screen train and swing to place piles without fixed infrastructure.

What materials can it handle?

Aggregate, coal, ore, cement, sand, compost, biomass, fly ash, gypsum, dirt and more, with feed size to 350 mm.
