Feeding principle and layout

An excavator or wheel loader tips into the hopper; the variable-speed belt feeder draws material out at a set rate and delivers it up the stacking conveyor. Because the feed rate is controlled, downstream crushers and screeners receive a steady stream instead of surges.

The crawler chassis means the whole feeder-stacker advances with the work face or swings to build a pile, then folds for transport. It removes the need for a separate hopper unit and a separate stacker.

Hopper and drive options

SANTO offers hopper sizes matched to the loading machine and to site production rate. Models FTS1015, FTS1020, FTS1215 and FTS1220 span 1000 and 1200 mm belts at 15 m and 20 m lengths, all at 500 or 700 t/h.

Hybrid drive is available: an onboard electric motor runs from grid or generator, or from the standard engine, giving flexibility at berth and in the field.
