Quarry Transfer Gap

The crusher and the desired stockpile sat far apart across uneven ground. Haul trucks covered the gap but consumed fuel and labour and added traffic risk.

The quarry needed a transfer that could extend as the face advanced without permanent structures.

SANTO Grasshopper Train

SANTO supplied a train of grasshopper conveyors that daisy-chain from crusher to pile. Each section is skid-mounted and repositioned with a loader as the layout changes.

The modular belt carries aggregate continuously at high rate, with impact beds at the feed end protecting the belt from large rock.

At up to 1200 t/h the train replaces multiple truck cycles, cutting fuel, labour and maintenance while improving site safety.
