SANTO supplied a mobile ship loader with a telescoping, slewing boom that reaches the barge hatch while the chassis stays on the wharf. Belt speed and boom position are tuned to coal flow.

Because the unit is mobile, the terminal skips civil works and can relocate the loader as the riverbank handling plan changes through the year.

At up to 1000 t/h the loader keeps barges turning quickly, and the controlled boom drop limits coal fines and dust at the hatch.
