Learn moreA SANTO wheeled radial telescopic stacker forming compost piles with gentle, low-drop handling.
An organics composting facility used a SANTO wheeled radial telescopic stacker to build windrows of compost and green waste at up to 400 t/h while keeping drop height low to protect the material.
Compost must be piled without crushing the aerobic structure that drives decomposition. High drops and heavy compaction harm the process and raise odour risk.
The plant needed a mobile stacker that could form long windrows on a prepared pad with minimal material abuse.
SANTO supplied a wheeled radial telescopic stacker whose telescoping boom lowers the discharge point and whose slewing action lays windrows evenly across the pad.
On the firm, prepared pad the wheeled chassis is quick to reposition between windrow lanes, keeping the conveyor close to the feed source.

At up to 400 t/h the stacker builds uniform windrows that are easy to turn and reclaim, supporting steady decomposition and lower odour.
Our compost and recycling pages cover related organics handling.
A lower discharge point avoids compacting the pile, keeping the aerobic structure that drives decomposition and reducing odour risk.
The wheeled radial telescopic stacker handles up to about 400 tonnes per hour of compost and green waste, tuned to the feed system.
